Project Profile - 1487 Nagpur

The overall project objective is to enhance the health and protection of identified bottlenecks of Melghat-Bor-Pench and Nawegoan-Nagzira-Tadoba-Andhari corridors (including buffer and territorial Forest Division of TRs) in the vidharba Tiger Conservation Landscape, through direct community based interventions to reduce anthropogenic pressures on identified bottlenecks, direct reduction of human-wildlife conflicts, enhancing protection measures, as well as by fostering greater awareness and support of local communities towards habitat management and protection, direct habitat development as well as participatory human-wildlife conflict management initiatives.

The Project Titled "Integrated Habitat Conservation and Eco-development in Vidharba Tiger Landscape" was approved by the IUCN. A large number of project partners are involved in the implementation and the agreements were signed with the partners. The project activities are to be implemented in accordance with the agreement conditions and the guidelines issued by the IUCN.
